How to cope at big events:

I went to Soul Survivor in 2001, 2002 and 2004 and this is how I coped. If you have any other ideas let me know.

1) Take someone who understands how much you can do.

2) Look at the programme and decide what you want to do each day – maybe have a reserve list if you feel you can do more.

3) Think about getting a wheelchair from the Red Cross. It’s free and it means you have your own seat and a good view. There are usually areas for wheelchairs and you can have your friends there too.

4) If you’re camping, make sure you are near the toilets. Phone up in advance to check.

5) Find out if you can have a disabled notice for your car. You may be able to keep it near your tent and drive to main meetings.
